To do list

To do list picHow do you organize your “to do” list? I’ve tried different methods, but my tried and true method is the old fashion pen and paper. I find weird satisfaction in writing down all my to do stuff and organizing this in order of importance and finally crossing it off the to do list.

I do also like fancy paper and fancy pens for my to do lists. Why? I like to see the fancy paper and I like to write with my fancy pen with a cute ink color. This is important, because we all have a “to do” list, and making this list visually appealing can change the way you think about and process our never ending lists.

I do like to stay organized and on top of all my tasks so that when life throws me a curve ball, and it will, I can deal with the curve ball and not get so far behind in my tasks that I get overwhelmed.

Now, I will say that my (2) kids are older and this makes my lists different. When your children are smaller your lists are prioritized differently. So, take my personal way with a grain of salt. Having older children means you are gradually shifting the lists from you to them. My husband and I believe very firmly that they should be able to do life when they start college or move out to begin their life out from under the parental safety net.

Thanks so much for spending a little of your time with me today. I’m getting my list done today as I sit in a Dr.’s office πŸ˜‰

  1. Oh, this is great! I definitely relate to your genes which naturally came from your amazing Morher! Yes, that would be me who loves to decorate for any season for anyone that wants my advise. You are wonderful and you do need some pictures of your pretty paper. I personally like sticky notes so you can put them all over your car and throw them away as you do each adventure.
